Strategic Plan Outcome: Every Student Thrives Socially and Emotionally
Strategic Plan Measure: % of students reporting they belong at school and matter to others
School “SMART” Goal (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely): By the end of the 23-24 school year students reporting they feel welcome and accepted at Terra Nova will remain within five percentage points of the current rate of 98.3%.
Strategic Plan Strategy: Teams in each building meet regularly to examine social-emotional, academic, attendance and discipline data for students.
- Action: Pre and Post Assessment with Terra Nova students measuring the % reporting they ”feel welcome and accepted".
- Action: Monthly Behavioral Health and Wellness meeting to monitor behavior and attendance
- Action: Staff/Student Personal connection inventory conducted three times per year.
- Action: Specifically designed hands-on learning activities embedded in each class allowing for greater connection between teacher and students.

Strategic Plan Outcome: All students graduate and successfully complete dual credit, International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), Career Technical Education (CTE) and/or dual language courses.
Strategic Plan Measure: % of graduates earning one or more credits in dual credit, AP, IB, CTE or dual language courses.
School “SMART” Goal (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely): 100% of Terra Nova students will meet the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) work-based learning requirement and all major culminating projects will include jobs based interpersonal skill training.
Strategic Plan Strategy: Support student access to and success in dual credit, AP, IB, CTE or dual language courses.
- Action: All Staff collaboration meetings each morning and the end of each day
- Action: Collaboration with industry professionals
- Action: Development of hard skill and soft skill aligned curriculum based on feedback from our advisory board
- Action: Job-based and soft skill lessons based on industry feedback embedded within all major assessments.
- Action: Student contracts developed for self evaluation of job based behavior and interpersonal work expectations
